Warrior Boy's XCountry Have 'Historic' Day at Eagle

Personal records set for nine runners place the Warriors in third at Eagle Invite on Saturday.

From Muskego High School Boy's Cross Country Coach CJ Michaud:

Our varsity squad had an outstanding, historic day at the Eagle Invite this past Saturday.

Leading the way was Andrew Salo, finishing in 11th place with a time of 16:34. Right behind him in 14th place was Mitch Kwapick, running 16:36. Mitch's time places him 7th all-time on our junior list.

Zach Matusinec was our 3rd finisher in 25th place, followed by Joe Deakin and Alex Erickson in 29th and 30th, both running 17:08. That time places Alex 7th on our all-time sophomore list, and Josh's time is the fastest time ever run by a Muskego High School freshman, beating the time of 17:11 run by Brandon Jaskolski in 2005 on the same course we competed on today.

Our day was not finished as our next four finishers - Nic Blommel, Colin Reisenauer, Max Tesch, and Evan Seghers - also ran personal best times. Evan's time of 17:29 places him in fourth all-time on our freshmen list. In short, our first nine finishers ran personal records, and we finished 3rd as a team.
