Warriors Get a Rude Welcome to the Classic 8

Guests Arrowhead introduce Muskego to their new conference, and spoil home opener in a 46-15 rout

Muskego High School parents and teams were excited to become a part of the Classic 8 conference, which places all of its games in Waukesha County and put them as the second largest school in the conference.

However, Hartland Arrowhead came to town Friday night, and demonstrated they were still the biggest school in the conference, handing MHS a 46-15 loss Friday night.

The Warriors paired well with their opponents on the ground, putting 278 yards of rushing on the field to AHS's 285. However there was no contest in the air, with no yards passing recorded for Muskego after four quarters to Arrowhead's 237.

Muskego would get on the board in the fourth quarter, with a rushing touchdown from David Kucharski, who had a total of 61 yards on the night. Rushing leader Xavier Johnson (119 yards for the game) would later score on a 67-yard run and also convert with about five minutes to go in the game. However the highlight proved too little too late.

Muskego heads to Mukwonago next Friday, Sept. 7 with a 1-1 record, having beaten Port Washington in their season opener last week.
