Warriors Rush Past Stars

Strong stats on the ground translate into commanding win for the Muskego Warriors over Waukesha North

With 21 first downs and 441 rushing yards recorded in their game Friday night against the Waukesha North Stars, the Muskego Warriors put up some of their best numbers of the year. The effort translated into a commanding 44-21 victory, and another step closer to a playoff appearance in the Classic 8 conference.

Conversely, the North Stars continued to struggle, with 227 total yards of offense in the game, and a late game safety that would add to Muskego's already firm lead.

The Warriors need to win their next two games to secure a berth in post season play, and looked like they would take no game for granted. Quarterback Tyler Roy would not provide an airshow, with only 18 yards passing on the night, but he would rack up 253 yards rushing, and score four of Muskego's touchdowns.    Xavier Jansen would also score twice on rushing TDs, with 95 yards of rushing on the night. Tyler Thomka added another 69 yards on the ground as well.
