Warriors See Game Slip Through Their Hands
Special teams troubles contribute to a Memorial win over Muskego
The rains from earlier in the day and a damp evening perhaps contributed to problems Friday night as a close struggle between the Muskego Warriors and Catholic Memorial Crusaders ended up in a 35-18 CMH win.
The contest had been fairly tight in the first half, but a muffed kickoff return that slipped through the Warrior's hands was recovered by CMH, resulting in a touchdown in the third quarter. In addition, an extra point field goal and two attempts by the Warriors for two-point conversions after touchdowns failed.
CMH's defense also shut the Warriors down in the second half, and the 18-13 lead Muskego had then would not prove to be enough.
