What a Rush! Muskego Rolls to Its First Classic 8 Win

Offensive struggle v. Waukesha West helped by a late turnover and a strong ground game to give Muskego Warriors the win

There was plenty to keep the scoreboard operator busy Friday night as the Muskego Warriors hosted the Waukesha West Wolverines. Six lead changes throughout the first three and a half quarters of the game featured a total of 55 points being scored between the two teams, until Muskego broke away in the final portion of the 4th quarter.

Racking up a total of 289 yards rushing, the Warriors also were helped by a fumble recovery late in the 4th on the Warrior 24 yard line, which was returned for a touchdown and a two-point conversion by Tyler Thomka.

Quarterback Peter Roy was the rushing leader, with 112 yards and three touchdowns, but had company. Xavier Jansen put up 86 yards, and Tyler Thomka with 71 yards helped boost that number. David Kucharski scored the other rushing touchdown, and had 17 yards on the night.
