Muskego Elections: Hammel Wins 2nd Aldermanic District Race
A voter turnout of 26.7 percent was about what was expected throughout Muskego, with the sole race for alderman in District 2 going to newcomer Bob Hammel
It's Easter break, and with light interest in the two statewide races for state superintendent of schools and Wisconsin Supreme Court, the citywide turnout was 26.7 percent. However, the percentage ticked slightly higher (27.8) in the 2nd District, which provided the only real race for an aldermanic seat.
Bob Hammel won that election, besting William "Butch" LeDoux 416-159.
Hammel is a personal lending officer with TCF Bank. He grew up in New Berlin, and has lived in Muskego since 1999 with his wife Jennifer and two sons.

He submitted the following statement to Muskego Patch:
"I want to thank the voters for their support and I am honored that the people of the 2ndΒ district have the trust and faith in me to represent them. I had a lot of help and support and I want to thank everyone that helped me. I want to build and seek positive solutions by building a solid partnership with the citizens I represent. We ran a good campaign and I am proud of how we ran it. I look forward to working with the common council and the mayor."
