Sola Salon Studios Planning Expansion To New Berlin
A salon is in the final stages of planning for a new location at the former Dollar Tree at Moorland Square shopping center.
NEW BERLIN, WI — Sola Salon Studios is working on bringing a new 7200 square foot location to 15343 West National Avenue this summer, according to a news release from the company.
The location, which would be built at the former Dollar Tree location in Moorland Square Shopping Center, will include 37 private studios in four different sizes, the news release said. It would be the sixth Sola Salon Studios location in the Milwaukee area and the fourth owned by Gina and David Vercera.
The new studios will include on-on-one meeting spaces with sliding doors, floor-to-ceiling walls for privacy, computer-controlled ventilation, Wi-Fi and more, according to the news release. The company said it is will soon be making pre-construction specials available for salon professionals looking to inhabit the upcoming space.

"We’re beyond excited to bring a new Sola to the New Berlin community and offer local hair stylists, estheticians, nail technicians, massage therapists, and makeup artists a beautiful, safe space to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams," said Gina Vecera, owner of Sola Salon Studios in Hales Corners, Brookfield, and Menomonee Falls. "At Sola, our mission is to always put our stylists first, and we have a variety of tools and resources available to help them get their businesses off the ground."
The company said in the news release it is driven by a desire to use real estate to help aspiring business owners with a model that offers a form of salon ownership without the risk of opening a traditional location. Those who occupy the spaces will be able to customize their own studios, set their own hours and pricing, and receive a full commission on retail products, the news release said.

"With the addition of this space, consumers who live and work nearby will have more choices for experienced hairstylists, cosmetologists, nail techs, and other professional salon services in their area.
