STEAM Lab
Wednesdays, Feb. 23rd - Mar. 16th, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
This program is intended for children in grades 1-5. Work as a team to create, experiment and learn through hands-on activities. These activities include:Â
- February 23: Using simple materials, build a tower of cups without touching the cups.
- March 2: Can you save wormy? Wormy is a gummy worm whose boat has capsized, and he is stranded without his life jacket. Using simple materials, get Wormy back into his life jacket and into his boat.
- March 9: Build a maze, then see if you can send a robot through the maze.
- March 16: Build a tower strong enough to withstand a hurricane (i.e., a large fan).
This program will take place in the library's Story Time Room, is held over a 4-week period, and requires registration. Registration begins Monday, February 7. You only need to sign up once to be signed up for all 4 sessions. Please note that all programs may be modified, canceled, or postponed due to ongoing health concerns.
