Electric Scooter Rider Joins Interstate 94 Traffic Near Oak Creek
An electric scooter rider joined Interstate 94 Thursday morning in Milwaukee County and was spotted riding on the shoulder along traffic.
MILWAUKEE, WI — An electric scooter rider was spotted amongst the morning traffic on Interstate 94 near Oak Creek Thursday.
Footage from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation captured the rider pushing the scooter on the interstate shoulder, exiting near Drexel Avenue, then immediately re-entering alongside the four lanes of traffic to continue on the scooter's power toward Chicago
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office told The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and other news outlets it happened shortly before 8 a.m., but authorities lost sight of the vehicle after it exited the highway.

TMJ4 published more WisDOT footage of the rider venturing down the busy roadway. E-scooter company Lime has since banned the rider from its service, a report from the television station said.
