OAK CREEK, WI — A Milwaukee man was charged with robbery after he forcibly grabbed an item from a Facebook Marketplace seller he met at an Oak Creek parking lot in January, according to a criminal complaint.
Terry Lamonte Kazee, 29, was charged in Milwaukee County Court on Friday with robbery use of force, online court records show. If convicted, Kazee could face up to 15 years in prison and up to $50,000 in fines.
Kazee, going under the screen name "Boright Fred," met with two people who were selling a PlayStation 5 through Facebook Marketplace at a parking lot in the 8900 block of Howell Avenue in Oak Creek on Jan. 26, according to the criminal complaint.

When one of the sellers leaned into Kazee's car window with the game console, Kazee grabbed the PS5 and sped away, dragging the person for 30-40 feet and knocking the other over, according to the criminal complaint.
The seller who leaned into Kazee's window was injured in the encounter, the complaint said.

A detective obtained a search warrant for the Facebook account of "Boright Fred" and found phone numbers associated with a relative of Kazee, according to the complaint. Further warrants for those phone records plotted Kazee's phone in the area of the robbery when it occurred, the complaint said.
Police visited Kazee's home on May 11 after speaking to "Boright Fred" online about a motorcycle he was selling and detained him, although Kazee claimed he was not involved in the January robbery, according to the complaint.
