Man Found Dead In Crash After Cudahy Pursuit Lasts 3.4 Miles: Police
Police said a pursuit that began on Layton Avenue early Wednesday morning ended after the suspect's car crashed, killing the driver.
CUDAHY, WI — A police pursuit that began on Layton Avenue in Cudahy early Wednesday morning reached around 100 mph but ended after police found the suspect car crashed and a Milwaukee man dead inside, according to a news release from Cudahy police.
Police tried to pull the car over around 3 a.m. for speeding, unsafe lane deviation and improper display of registration, but a pursuit ensued and lasted for 3.4 miles, police said. Officers last spotted the car in South Milwaukee, but they ended the pursuit because of possible dangers, according to a news release.
Less than an hour later, officers found the car near Chicago and Rawson avenues with the 23-year-old driver dead inside, police said. Police said there was nobody else inside the car.

Police later discovered that the man who died had a warrant out for his arrest from Probation and Parole, the news release said.
