Nobody Hit In Shooting At Oak Creek Theater Parking Lot: Police

There was a shooting late Thursday evening in an Oak Creek movie theater's parking lot but nobody was shot, police said.

OAK CREEK, WI — Multiple shots were fired late Thursday evening in the parking lot of an Oak Creek movie theater but nobody was hit, according to police.

Several people called 911 to report the shooting around 11:20 p.m., police said. Police determined a shooting did happen, but that nobody was shot, according to a news release. It happened in the South Shore Cinema lot at 7261 South 13th Street, police said.

It appeared an argument led up to the shooting and police are looking for a known suspect, according to Oak Creek Lt. Andrew Thorne. No person was hit in the shooting but a car was damaged, Thorne said.

Oak Creek police asked anyone with information to call them at 414-762-8200. Authorities said the shooting was an isolated incident and no danger remains to the public.
