Nobody Injured In Fire On Veronica Drive In Oak Creek: Fire Dept.

Authorities said firefighters were able to extinguish a fire at an Oak Creek home Monday within 10 minutes of arriving.

OAK CREEK, WI — Nobody was injured after a home caught fire in the 9700 block of S. Veronica Drive Tuesday night, according to the Oak Creek Fire Department.

The call came in around 6:30 p.m. and firefighters extinguished the flames within 10 minutes of arriving, the department's news release said.

Firefighters reported seeing smoke and flames coming from the building's roof.

No firefighters or occupants were hurt, authorities said. Firefighters from Greenfield, South Milwaukee and Milwaukee assisted and what caused the fire remains under investigation, according to the news release.

Tuesday's fire came after flames and smoke at an Oak Creek mobile home took the lives of multiple cats on Monday, according to the fire department.
