Oak Creek Martial Arts Facility Expands
Ascension Martial Arts acquired more space and plans more courses at its Oak Creek facility.

OAK CREEK, WI — Ascension Martial Arts in Oak Creek recently expanded its facility by conjoining 2,200 square feet of space to the existing school. With the expansion, AMA Oak Creek can now host more classes than before, according to a news release from the business.
In September, the martial arts facility expanded its space at the existing 200 E. Oak Street facility. A store nearby left and the lease became open, so AMA Oak Creek rented the facility, put in new mats and a full gym.
COVID-19 hit the business last year — all courses went virtual and remained that way until fall 2020. Now, the business is making strides toward expansion ever since its opening in 2014.

"We are so excited to offer more classes at convenient times and welcome more students into the Ascension Martial Arts family than we ever could prior to the expansion," said Daniel Youn, the school's founder and grand master.
With the expansion, multiple Taekwondo, Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing classes can now be held at the same time, the news release said. The programs are primarily directed toward children and teens but adults are also offered courses. All ages are welcome regardless of prior experience, the news release said.

"Practicing martial arts is a fantastic way to sharpen your mind as well as your body," Youn said. "We hear from many folks who have never tried martial arts before but who are interested in getting in shape, learning basic self-defense, and building up their confidence."
