Oak Creek To Hold Community-Wide Cleanup

The event will be held April 20 to 27 in partnership with Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful.

Residents, students, scouts, families, neighborhood associations and more will help beautify Oak Creek during the city's first community cleanup April 20 to April 27.

The event is in partnership with Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful . A pre-registration meeting will be held at 6 p.m. April 10 at Oak Creek City Hall, 8640 S. Howell Ave. Groups wanting to participate can send a representative with a roster of volunteers to register for the event.

Participants are asked to bring their own gloves; bags will be provided by Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful. People under 18 need their parents to sign a registration form, though families are encouraged to work together to help clean up the community.

Residents can also join Mayor Steve Scaffidi at Oak Creek City Hall for a cleanup event from 10 a.m. to noon April 27. The city hopes to make this an annual event.
