Suspect In Menards Theft Runs, Hit By Vehicle, Dies: Oak Creek Police
The 41-year-old man was hit by a vehicle just blocks from the store and died at the scene on 27th Street Tuesday afternoon, police said.

OAK CREEK, WI — A 41-year-old man who was a suspect in a retail theft at the Menards on 6800 27th Street left the store, was hit by a vehicle, and died Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release from the Oak Creek Police Department.
A Menards employee called police around 12:45 p.m. to report the retail theft with a description of the suspect. Before marked squad cars arrived, a man who matched the description was seen running northbound from the area, police said.
Moments later, he was hit by a vehicle that was traveling northbound in the 6500 block of 27th Street, police said.

Police and firefighters from the Oak Creek Fire Department tried to save the man's life, but he died at the scene, police said.
Police did not identify the man, aside from him being 41 years old. The Oak Creek Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating.
