Taking Burgers to the Next Level
See how some set their burgers apart by toppings, size and price. Come see how far they go.
Even burgers aren't simple anymore.
Toppings have gone wild. Malewail.com has a list of eight crazy burgers, including the Voodoo Burger from Portland, OR's The Original. It's topped with cheddar cheese and served on a sliced glazed donut instead of a bun.
Womansday.com has a story on creative burger creations, like the mushroom-shaped vegetarian Super-Mario burger; the West Michigan Whitecaps' 4-pound, 4,800-calorie Fifth Third Burger and Wisconsin's own dairy-laden butter burgers.

And at the top of the price list, the $5,000 FleurBurger. But what are you really paying for? It's a fancy burger made from kobe beef and truffles, but is served with a bottle of 1995 Petrus, and the restaurant shps a pair of Italian wine glasses to diners' homes after the meal.
