Teen Hospitalized After High-Speed Chase, Crash: Police
According to reports, the teen struck a utility pole, and needed emergency transport to the hospital.

OAK CREEK, WI — Authorities in Oak Creek say a 17-year-old eluded police during a high-speed chase early Wednesday. Police later caught up with him after he was involved in an accident and needed hospitalization.
According to Oak Creek police reports, an officer on patrol tried pulling over the driver just after 3 a.m. Wednesday after seeing that he was "excessively speeding" on S. 13th Street and W. Rawson Ave.
Authorities said the officer tried pulling the teen driver over, only to have him do a U-turn, and lead police on a high-speed chase.

Oak Creek police said they abandoned the chase, only to learn that the teen crashed two minutes later on the 9500 block of S. 13th Street.
According to reports, the teen struck a utility pole, and needed emergency transport to the hospital. Authorities have yet to say why the teen fled police.
