Steve Yttri has retired after working nearly 20 years for the Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility.

Steve Yttri has retired as general manager of the Oak Creek Water and Sewer Utility after nearly 20 years with the organization.

A Common Council resolution adopted last week noted that Yttri negotiated wholesale agreements for the sale of water to Caledonia, Franklin and (most recently) Waukesha; oversaw expansions at the utility's 5th Avenue plant and headquarters on Drexel Avenue; and won numerous awards at taste-test competitions.

Yttri started his career as administrative supervisor, eventually moving his way up to finance director and then general manager in 2001.
