Here are some notable entries from the Oak Creek Police Department's call logs for Feb. 21-March 9.

OAK CREEK, WI — A semi-truck was parked on the wrong side of the road on 10600 Oakview Parkway around 4 a.m. on March 8. An Oak Creek Police Department officer asked the driver what was going on, and the driver told police they were parked there so chicken juice from the truck's load would drain into the sewer drain instead of collecting on the road.

The vehicle was moved to the correct side of the road after the encounter, according to Oak Creek police logs.

  • Someone called 911 and told police they were sexually assaulted at a hotel on the 6300 block of 13th Street on March 1, logs say. The victim told police they met the person who assaulted them online, and that the person who assaulted them drove with them around the area and would not let them leave, logs say. The suspect was taken into custody and logs say charges are being referred to the Milwaukee County DA's office.
  • A manager of the Target at 8989 Howell Avenue told police on March 6 two men had left the store through the fire exit without paying for about $160 worth of merchandise, plus an air fryer worth an additional $160, according to logs. The two men were issued citations for retail theft.
  • An anonymous caller claimed to police on March 6 a group of men near a hotel on the 6300 block of 13th Street threw rocks and chased her into the hotel lobby around 2 p.m., logs say.
  • A resident on the 800 block of Mary Lane told police on March 5 someone had thrown something at or through their front window, shattering the glass, logs say. A group of kids was suspected to have thrown the object.
  • An employee of a business on the 100 block of Marquette Avenue cut three of his fingers off while using a miter saw on Feb. 25, a 911 caller told police, according to logs.
  • A woman and man stole about $250 worth of liquor from the Pick 'N Save at 6462 27th Street on Feb. 21, the store's loss prevention told police, logs say.
