Bicycle Rodeo Offers Safety Tips, Checks

The Port Washington Police Department will be sponsoring a bicycle rodeo on June 27 at Lincoln Elementary School.

The Port Washington Police Department will be sponsoring a bicycle rodeo on June 27 at Lincoln Elementary School, 1325 Theis Lane.

The Rodeo will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. Personnel from Pedal Moraine Cycling and Fitness of West Bend and Grafton Ski & Cyclery will be available to do safety inspections and make minor mechanical adjustments to bicycles.    

There will be bicycles, donated by Wal-Mart, given away as prizes.  Additional prizes will be awarded. There will be a bicycle helmet giveaway, courtesy of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C.  There will also be t-shirts given away, courtesy of Uselding Advertising.  

All ages are welcome to attend and refreshments will be served. Bicycle safety handouts and materials will be available, plus — get a chane to meet Sparky the fire dog!
