Downton Abbey Returns to Port's Downtown

Baltica Tea Room's first Downton Abbey Tea Party was such a hit it's bringing the event back a second time.

A TV series that is growing in popularity is also gaining traction for a downtown Port Washington event.

The show, Downton Abbey, inspired a tea party event at Baltica Tea Room, and business Owner Urszula Cholewinska said the occassion was a hit. 

"Our (first) Downton Abbey Party was a great success, and we are now running a (second) one!" Cholewinska wrote in an e-mail to Patch.

The event is planned to be an "unforgettable evening that will delight any Downton Abbey zealot," Baltica's promotion says.

The party includes English Afternoon Tea service, featuring:

  • Tea sandwiches and desserts;
  • Recipes from the Downton Cookbook; 
  • White table linens, three-tier trays;
  • And your own butler on stand by.

The evening will also include trivia and prizes, including a Best Hat contest.
