Electronics Recycling Event Kicks Off Spring Cleaning

The Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County hosts the event all weekend long.

Editor's note: The following information is taken from a press release submitted by the Volunteer Center of Ozaukee County.

Spring is the air! Can you feel it? Volunteer Center of Ozaukee's Electronic Recycling annual spring event on Saturday and Sunday will take all your old computer electronics, TVs, microwaves and cellphones then recycle them in an earth-friendly way. It is a great way to start the spring season getting rid of the old and welcoming the new.

The Volunteer Center raises awareness of the volunteer needs of over 60 community agencies, then connects volunteers to those needs.  Community agencies could use your help getting their green spaces ready for spring.  Riveredge Earth Day Work and Learn,  planting trees at Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, planting crops at Wellspring, helping seniors be independent at Interfaith and cleaning up senior facilities green space  are a few of the volunteer opportunities that could use your volunteer time this spring. (Great for groups and corporate volunteer plans)
