Ex Digs Keys into Car, but Doesn't Remember
A 23-year-old Random Lake man said he didn't remember keying his ex-girlfriend's car, but did offer an apology.

This one comes straight out of a country song.
A 23-year-old Random Lake man was issued a citation for destruction to property after keying the passenger side of his ex-girlfriend, a Port Washington resident, on Saturday, according to a police report.
The ex-girlfriend called police at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday to report the damage to her vehicle. She told the officer that she had broken up with the Random Lake man a few days earlier and sense then he had returned to her house several times to attempt to make contact.

The woman told police the most recent visit was at about 1 a.m. Saturday; she again ignored his attempts to contact her, the report said. When she went to her car at about noon she noticed the damage.
In a text message to her ex, she asked whether he had done it. The man sent back, "2 tell u the truth i was really (expletitive) lastnite i just work up 2 my dad (expletitive) at me this mourning im really sorry if i did tho," according to the police report. While the officer was talking to the ex-girlfriend, the man sent her another message again saying he doesn't remember doing it, but he was sorry.

The officer delivered the citation for $208.50 to the man's house in Random Lake, advising him to discontinue contact with his ex, and also that restitution for the damage would be sought.
