Port Washington Yacht Club hosting flare shoot Saturday morning to allow boat owners to safely get rid of expired shells.
If you see a flare flying near the Port Washington marina Saturday morning — have no fear.
The flares are being let go as part of a flare-shoot event hosted by the Port Washington Yacht club, meant to help boat owners get rid of their expired shells.
The event takes place from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, from the shorelines just east of the Yacht Club. You do not need to be a member of the Yacht Club to participate.
