Lack of Shoveling Etiquette Among Some Residents During Recent Storm
Port Washington police responded to several complaints of unshoveled sidewalks between Thursday and Saturday.

It seems like people have had it up to here with the winter weather, with several complaints received at the Port Washington Police Department regarding a lack of local shoveling etiquette.
Port Washington police responded to six complaints related to snow and shoveling issues within three days last week.
At 2:40 p.m. Thursday, a complaint was received about unshoveled sidewalks in the 400 block of Barry Avenue, according to police reports. At 4:16 p.m. that day, police sent city crews to the 700 block of North Wisconsin Street to clear the snow after a complaint of unshoveled walks. The city's work will be added to the homeowner's property tax bill.

Then on Friday, police left a snow removal notice at a residence in the 200 block of North Spring Street after receiving a complaint, according to reports. At 4:45 p.m. that day, a complaint came in from the 500 block of Chestnut Street that a resident's plowing contractor had pushed snow across the street and into the right-of-way.
Finally, at 7:27 a.m. Saturday, another snow removal notice was left at a residence in the 700 block of North Wisconsin Street after a complaint was received about walks not shoveled, the reports said.
