Local Gardener Shares Experiences From Philippines Island

Ozaukee Master Gardeners invite the public to join them to explore the exotic fruits and gardens, and the different way of life of the Philippines Island of Negros. 

Join Shelly Loke, Ozaukee Master Gardener, as she shares experiences from her four-week stay in the rural municipality of Hinigaran in the spring of 2012. 

It was a time of festival, and the people treated her to a trove of knowledge of their lifestyle and gardens. From makopa to kalamansi, Shelly will talk about how to eat them and how they grow. You only wish your houseplants looked that good!

Ms. Loke’s one hour program will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. March 28 in the Auditorium of the Ozaukee Administration Center, 121 W. Main St. in Port Washington. This presentation if free and open to the public.
