Special Olympics Softball Team Takes the Gold

The weather was hot during the 2011 Special Olympics State Outdoor Sports Tournament last weekend, but the Ozaukee County Special Olympics Softball Team was even hotter, according to a press release.

Nearly 1,000 athletes traveled to Eau Claire last weekend for the tournament. Of those 1,000 athletes, there were nearly 20 Softball teams from all over Wisconsin competing, the press release said. After two days of softball, the Ozaukee County Eagle's Softball Team won Gold Medals for their outstanding performance.
