Tea Shop Offers Fresh Spot for Lunch
Baltica Tea's light lunch menu brews up a lot of delicious flavors.
Yum.
That's what I was saying about everything on my lunch plate at the . With only a few choices on the menu, it was easy for a growling stomach such as mine to make a quick decision and get my hunger satisfied fast with still enough choices to cater to different cravings.
The tea room, 223 N. Franklin St., opened in early June after a lot of renovations that helped add to the shop's classy look. A lunch menu was added at the shop shortly after opening, and desserts on the menu are made exclusively for Baltica Tea.

I chose the Tarragon Tuna Salad, an impressively crisp bed of lettuce topped with lots of tuna salad, and an amazingly fresh croissant and fruit on the side.
My boyfriend ate the hot black forest ham and swiss cheese sandwich
on a torta roll — yum. (Told you I was saying that about everything.)

But, I mean it. His sandwich was deliciously — a top noche version of the straight up ham and cheese. It had a sweetness to it (probably the carmelized onions) that just sent you to heaven.
And we continued floating on the clouds while indulging in dessert — hot plum cake with caramel and ice cream.
It was a quick lunch, classy — just as the tea shop makes itself out to be — and definitely worth trying now and then.
When you decide to go, stop in and say "hi" to owner Urszula Cholowinska, who I have often seen working at the shop herself.
