Capitol Drive Apartment Plans: Village Releases Renderings
The Village of Shorewood Design Review Board will meet on Jan. 27 to consider architecture design plans for a development on Capitol Drive.

SHOREWOOD, WI β The Village of Shorewood Design Review Board is set to meet on Jan. 27 to review the architecture design plans of the apartment complex planned for 2400 East Capitol Drive.
The Plan Commission is also set to meet on Jan. 25 to confirm the proposed side setback for the development's corner lot. The Zoning Review board previously confirmed that the development's use, height, setback and parking standards conform to village requirements, the Village said on its Facebook page.
The building would have 39 one and two-bedroom apartments. It would replace the existing single-family home and Sunseekers location near the corner of Stowell Avenue and East Capitol Drive and combine the empty lots. The private parking lot on the western edge of the development would remain, the Village's Facebook post said.

Initial plans from the development called for 42 apartments. The subject property's current zoning, B-3 mixed use commercial district, allows for multi-family uses on all four floors, according to the Village's announcement.
