Crime Time: Prescription Fraud, Police Find Stolen Items

A 42-year-old Milwaukee woman is facing fraudulent prescription charges after she allegedly used a false prescription to try and pick up 180 Oxycodone pills from Drugs R Us, 3512 N. Oakland Ave., Wednesday.
The pharmacist called the doctor whose signature had been forged and he said hadnβt written the prescription and the suspect has never been a patient of his. Police were called and later arrested the woman.

- A stolen laptop and bicycle were returned to their owner after the man who allegedly stolen the items was found by Milwaukee police Friday, after an apparent heroin overdose in a apartment lobby in the 3900 block of North Humboldt Avenue, Friday. The items were reported stolen on Thursday from a garage and vehicle in the 4300 block of North Alpine Avenue. Milwaukee police currently have the man in custody.
- An attendant at Citgo, 1602 E. Capitol Dr., called police Sunday to complain about a man petitioning for the recall of Sen. Alberta Darling on the gas station's grounds. Police advised the man to no longer petition on the property.
- A Garmin GPS was reported stolen out of a 2008 Honda Odyssey parking in an alleyway in the 3500 block of North Fredrick Avenue. The device was valued at $150.
- Police cited a 21-year-old Milwaukee man with retail theft after he walked out of , 4145 N. Oakland Ave., with a bottle of Hennessy Black without paying.
