Emerald Ash Borer Injection Program Starts Back Up In Shorewood
The 2022 program is set to focus on Shorewood trees north of Capitol Drive and west of Oakland Avenue.
June 3, 2022
Healthy green ash and white ash trees 12β diameter and over are injected with insecticide on a three-year rotation to protect them from the borer. This program, combined with selective removal of small number of ash trees each year, allows us to preserve canopy cover while we slowly rebuild a more diverse, resilient urban forest.
