SHOREWOOD, WI — Somebody called police after they saw a man walking down the street with a chainsaw near Menlo Boulevard and Oakland Avenue around 2 p.m. on Feb. 21, according to Shorewood Police Department call logs.
When police spoke to the man, they found he was an employee of a local property group who uses mechanical tools for his job, according to logs.

- A man who was involved in a car crash told police he struck a light pole on 1300 Oakland Avenue around 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 21, logs say.
- A resident told Shorewood police on Feb. 22 somebody used their credit card to purchase $2637 worth of items without her permission, logs say.
- A resident told Shorewood police on Feb. 23 a department of education loan had appeared on their credit score report, but they had not signed up for any loans, so a loan dispute was filed with UWM, logs say.
- Police issued 24-hour correction notices to several homes on Olive, Woodburn and Ardmore on Feb. 23 after they were called out for unsalted sidewalks, logs say.
- Police pushed a disabled vehicle out of the Capitol Drive Corner Bakery drive-thru lane on Feb. 23, according to logs.
- Police were called out to check an address for icy sidewalks on Feb. 24, logs said.
- Someone called police on Feb. 24 to tell them their car was stolen from Oakland Avenue and Kensington Boulevard, logs said. The woman later found her car as she had forgotten it was parked in a different location, logs say.
- Police checked on a man who was walking in circles on the sidewalk near Capitol and Oakland on Feb. 24, logs said. He was on the phone when police approached him, logs say.
- A resident told police on Feb. 25 around 5 p.m. they heard someone walk in the front door of their house, so they said something out loud but there was no response, logs said. The homeowner's dog began barking and the front door was heard being shut, logs say, but nothing was reported missing and no person or vehicle was found.
- A person walking down Capitol Drive flagged down police and police gave the person a ride to 83rd Street and Capitol around 4 a.m. on Feb. 26, logs said.
- Police were called out for a disorderly conduct complaint on Feb. 27 around noon. The caller told police a Lyft Driver was swearing at her, so the Lyft driver was stopped and they denied swearing, logs say.
