New Consignment Shop Could Move Into Former Chattel Changers
Posh Collective would rent out a portion of the space formerly occupied by Chattel Changers on Capitol Drive.

SHOREWOOD, WI — A consignment shop called Posh Collective recently applied for a conditional use permit to open a resale shop at the former site of Chattel Changers.
The business's plans would breathe new life into an otherwise empty storefront. Chattel Changers, the building's prior tenant, had operated there since 1982, but it closed its doors soon after the pandemic started. Susan Froelich submitted the application documents for Posh Collective to operate at 2520 E. Capitol Drive.
Preliminary plans show that the interior first floor of the building would be split into three separate spaces — Posh Collective would operate in the center space.

The business specializes in second-hand luxury goods such as clothing, handbags and accessories, documents submitted to the village said. Currently, the consignment retailer has an online sales office on 4400 N. Oakland Avenue in a coworking community for women called Malamadoe.
The projected hours of operation would be 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
