Police Unsure Why Son Struck Father with Five-Pound Dumbbell

Police haven't been able to find the teenager who allegedly struck his father with a weight Sunday.

Shorewood police are currently investigating why a teenager struck his father with a five-pound dumbbell Sunday.

According to the police report, the father was transported to Columbia St. Mary’s due to injuries after his son hit him with a five-pound weight at their home in the 4000 block of North Downer Avenue. Police said it is still unclear what the circumstances were around the battery.

Police tried to track down the juvenile at Shorewood Intermediate School Monday morning, but were unable to locate him.
