The Pledge asks residents to educate themselves and add at least 5 new actions to protect water quality. Additionally, they are asked to share their efforts and knowledge with others.
βThere are so many fun and educational events in Shorewood this year to celebrate our water resources and learn how to take action in helping to protect our waters, that it just made sense to make an official Village proclamationβ, says Village Board President, Ann McCullough McKaig. The resolution recognizes that we are all stewards of the water infrastructure upon which current and future generations depend for public health and safety and as such we all have a responsibility to educate ourselves in the preservation and protection of water quality.
