Shorewood Receives Award for 2010 Budget

For the second year in a row, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded Shorewood with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.

According to the GFOA, this award reflects the commitment of staff to the highest principles of governmental budgeting.

In order to receive the award the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.

For budgets including the fiscal period 2010, over 1,289 entities received awards.
