Shorewood Shenanigans Block Party To Make Return Saturday

The return of the Shorewood Shenanigans block party on Oakland Avenue is slated for Saturday. Live music, Irish drink and more are expected.

SHOREWOOD, WI β€” The Shorewood Shenanigans block party is set to make a return to Oakland Avenue on Saturday. The event is hosted by Three Lions Pub with the help of the Shorewood Business Improvement District and other local businesses.

A variety of bands for live music and a bar on the street is expected from Three Lions for the festivities, in honor of St. Patrick's Day, additionally, Irish beer and live traditional Irish musicians are expected at Draft & Vessel, according to a March newsletter from the Shorewood Business Improvement District.

The block party is planned for Oakland Avenue between Kensington and Glendale Boulevards, from 12 p.m.-8 p.m., the Shorewood BID said. A street closure to traffic is expected for the gathering.

The return of Shorewood Shenanigans marks two years since its last occurrence, Three Lions said in a Facebook post to mark the party.

Outdoor live music will come from Rory Modlinkski Experience from 1-3 p.m. Loud Mouth Soup will take the stage 4-6 p.m.

Three Lions' post says it will open its doors at 6:30 a.m. ahead of the party for rugby and soccer games. You'll be able to expect Guinness, Jameson cocktails and mixers, and Irish coffee, and that outdoor food and seating will be available, Three Lions said.

Draft & Vessel said in a Facebook post they'll have Irish music and food from 4-7 p.m. They'll also have a variety of Irish beer on tap, according to the Shorewood Business Improvement District.

As of Friday afternoon, Saturday's weather forecast calls for mostly sunny and very cold, according to AccuWeather, with no percent chance of rain in the day.

The National Weather Service's forecast calls for sunny with a high near 21 on Saturday. Wind chills could bring the temps lower, possibly into the negatives. Snow could come in the evening.
