SHOREWOOD, WI — Buttermint Finer Dining and Cocktails is now accepting reservations for its new Shorewood location at 4195 Oakland Avenue. The new spot from Black Shoe Hospitality promotes itself as a finer style of dining, and has been reported on for its "swank" and retro-inspired interior.

It replaces what was formerly a location for Blue's Egg, and swaps Blue's takes on breakfast with what Milwaukee Magazine reports will be a cocktail menu dotted by classics and a frequently changing dinner menu marked for now by unique entrees and appetizers such as veal sweetbread, sturgeon smoked in-house, grilled swordfish and roasted chicken.

Joe Muench, co-owner and chef, said the opening menu is only a snapshot of what's in store for Buttermint's future, OnMilwaukee.com reported.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports weekend brunch is a possibility in the spring once more workers are hired. The spot is still hiring for front of house and back of house staff and applications can be downloaded on the restaurant's website.
