Job Announcement: Learning Center Support Teacher

Position:

Learning Center SuppoHamilton High School

Responsibilities:  

Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to the needs of regular education students and at-risk students in need of individualized educational opportunities; teach and tutor students in need of specialized programming; coordinate the efforts of teachers, tutors, and support staff to provide a positive learning environment; work closely with families of students assigned to the learning center.  Act as liaison to alternative programming outside of school.

Qualifications:

Certification from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as a high school teacher. Preferred certifications: mathematics, English, special education and/or alternative education; Master’s Degree; experience in a high school setting; strong organizational skills; and such alternatives as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
