Waukesha County deputies were dispatched to a report of a Mini Cooper in the ditch at 5:37 p.m. Sunday on Richmond Road, west of Highway 164. Anderson was identified as the driver and he told the deputies he and his daughter were fine.
“I don’t remember,” Anderson, in a slurred voice, told the deputies when asked what happened. “I must have hit ice or something and it caused me to go off the road.”

Deputies noticed an eight pack of Guinness, a six pack of Red Apple Ale and frozen juice containers that showed the items were purchased at 5:18 p.m. in Ashippun. A deputy also located a water bottle that had a light brown liquid they believed to be intoxicants.
The Sussex Fire Department treated the 1-year-old girl, who had a bruised and swollen right hand.
Anderson was continuously falling during his field sobriety tests, so the tests were stopped. His preliminary breath test indicated he had a .18 percent blood alcohol concentration.
Anderson told investigators he started drinking at noon at home and stopped at 2 p.m.
Court records show Anderson was charged in 2012 with hit and run. He was released from the Waukesha County Jail on Monday on $500 bail.
