North Shore Bank Sponsoring Fourth of July Festivities

Children can start picking up free bike decorating kits from North Shore Bank June 24.

For six years in a row, North Shore Bank has been a sponsor of Sussex's annual Fourth of July festivities. The bank recently announced 2013 will be its seventh.

North Shore will sponsor the annual fireworks show, and provide decorating kits for children riding bikes in the Kiddie Parade. Starting June 24, children of all ages are encouraged to pick up the free bike decorating kits from North Shore's Sussex branch at W249N6600 Hwy. 164.

The kit includes decorations in the customary patriotic tones of red, white and blue. Participants will then show off their decorated wheels during the Kiddie Parade, which starts at 9:15 a.m. July 4 in the Village Hall parking lot. From there, the parade will proceed to Village Park where participating children will be able to enjoy ice cream, carnival-style children’s games and relay races.

To cap off the day, the village will light off its annual Fourth of July fireworks. Live entertainment begins at 7 p.m. The fireworks show, provided by the Bartolotta Group and sponsored by North Shore Bank, is slated to start at 9:20 p.m. in Village Park.
