Sensenbrenner Nominates Sussex Resident to Service Academy
The student was named his principal nominee to the U.S. Naval Academy.

Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner, Jr. (R-Menomonee Falls) announced a Sussex resident -- along with two other area students -- received a principal nomination to a United States Service Academy.
Nicholas Hermberg of Sussex was named his principal nominee to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Nicholas, the son of Kirn and Jo Hermberg, and is currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he participates in the Navy ROTC.
As a senior at the University School of Milwaukee, Nicholas was involved in soccer, hockey, class board, and a number of other clubs and organizations.

Also, as a principal nominee, Hermberg is assured his appointment to the Service Academy, as long as he meets the Academy’s admittance requirements. The three area nominees were chosen for their outstanding academic record, patriotic commitment, and diverse extracurricular involvement.
Nominees for the United States Service Academies were chosen from an impressive group of applicants residing throughout Wisconsin’s Fifth Congressional District. Each applicant endured a rigorous application process culminating in a personal interview with a member of Congressman Sensenbrenner’s Academy Selection Committee.
