Sussex Outreach Services received surprise donation from Meijer

In the spirit of the holiday season, the Sussex Meijer has donated $10,000 to the Sussex Community as part of the Meijer Team Gives fall donation. The donation was given to Sussex Outreach Services, which is a local non profit reaching people by providing food, clothing and household items, while also offering emergency assistance, access to resources, and outreach. Sussex Meijer Team Members were moved after learning how many services the Sussex Outreach Services provides to their community.

Meijer strives to be a great community partner and exemplified this drive by empowering store teams to nominate and select organizations that were personally meaningful, made an impact in their community or served an overlooked part of their local population. Across the Meijer footprint, the retailer plans to donate nearly $3 million to 500 local nonprofits.
