Now it's time to grab another cup of coffee, curl up in a blanket and surf Sussex Patch the rest of the holiday.
Clay Creatures
Need something fun to do with the kids between Christmas and New Year's Eve? Look no further than the . The department will be holding Clay Creatures where students will be guided through a step-by-step process from inception to the finished piece as they learn to sculpt and paint animals using clay. The event is on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 - 11 a.m. at the . There is a fee for this event.
Babysitting Training
Over the break, have your son or daughter get certified in babysitting through the village's program on Wednesday and Thursday from 1 - 4:30 p.m. at the . Students will learn many different enriching skills by taking this Red Cross Babysitting Course. The course is designed for individuals 11 to 15 years of age. Not only will participants learn about proper toys, nutrition, diaper changing and feeding, the babysitter’s training course can help you care for children & infants, be a good leader and role model, make good decisions and solve problems, keep you (the babysitter) and the children you watch safe, and handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents. There is a fee for this two-day course.
