Truck Left Abandoned After Morning Roll Over

Slippery conditions are suspected to be to blame for the accident.

Village of responded to a motor-vehicle crash this morning on Highway 74 west of Sussex Road, but nobody was at the scene.

According to Sussex Fire Chief Colin "Corky" Curtis:

Firefighters were notified of the accident at 1:40 a.m. Monday morning and found one pick-up truck on its side with no one around. The roads in the area were slippery from the frost overnight, so official believe that's to blame for the accident.

The vehicle was stabilized and checked for anyone still inside. Firefighters remained on the scene until the truck was removed, checking for any leaking fluids.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department eventually located the driver and reported no injuries.
