Two Sussex Businesses Nominated for Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award
A Sussex business hasn't won the award since 1999.

Two Sussex manufacturing businesses have been nominated for a Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award, an honor that hasn't been won by a Sussex business since Quad/Graphics in 1999.
Power Test, Inc. and Waukesha Metal Products are nominees along with 51 other Wisconsin manufacturers, based anywhere from Rhinelander to Kenosha. The two Sussex businesses are nominated for the "Small-sized Company Grand Award."
Power Test, Inc. is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of dynamometers, heavy equipment testing systems and related data acquisition and control systems. For thirty-five years, Power Test Inc. has marketed its products in over 80 countries. The company has 60 employees and has given donations to over 30 charities.

Waukesha Metal Products is an international full-service provider of metal-forming services including custom metal stamping, sheet metal fabrications and in-house precision tooling. During the 2009 recession, Waukesha Metal Products maintained a strong business model, and they recently acquired two additional businesses. Fifty percent of the products manufactured by the company are exported to 34 different countries around the world.
The Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards is celebrating its 24th year in existence. A total of five Grand Award winners will be chosen: four in categories based on company size, and one for leading the way with environmentally sustainable best practices.
The winners of the competition will be revealed at a ceremony on Feb. 23 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.
