Why are you seeking elective office?
To improve the leadership and fiscal responsibility in the Village.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Poor leadership. It has led to complete turnover in the office staff not once but twice in the past 18 months. Further, our current President has two pending court cases with the Village of Waukesha, one in municipal court (being handled by North Prairie) and another in Waukesha County Circuit Court. I have over 20 years of business management experience managing large organizations and can bring stability to the Village of Waukesha.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a true conservative committed to low taxes and minimizing the impact of government in people’s lives. My opponent has publicly stated that he believes in taxing to the maximum allowable by law, he has supported Village asset procurement with no competitive bidding and has expressed desire to place the Village in debt for the first time EVER (in its over 150-year history) to accomplish building projects rather than living within our current taxation structure.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
Poor leadership by current President has led to staff turnover, no meeting minutes produced or posted since July of 2020 with no record of over half the 24 meetings, and no action on dozens of compliance issues reported by Village residents. In addition, many residents report that the current President is unreachable via email and phone, they cannot leave voicemail messages.
How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?
At the local Village level, I think we did well. The most difficult struggle for the Village will be the necessary adjustments in the Fire Department budgets with the increased cost associated with more and longer run times due to increased need to sanitize equipment.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
I can provide responsible, respectable conservative leadership committed to careful disbursement of taxpayer funds.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
25 years of successful operations and business management in the private sector.
