WAUKESHA, WI — A Waukesha rib restaurant will open its doors again after temporarily closing in 2021, its owners announced.
Pat's Rib Place, 151 E. Sunset Drive, will reopen at the end of May, the owners said in a Facebook post on May 7. The southern-style restaurant closed in October, citing staffing shortages.
The restaurant would operate under limited hours, the owners added. An exact reopening date hasn't been posted yet.

Ty and Alisha Hayes opened Pat's Rib Place in 2009 as a tribute to Alisha's mother, and landed a spot in the Milwaukee Public Market in October 2021. Oprah Winfrey, who is Alisha's aunt, praised the restaurant's house sauce in her 2020 Favorite Things List.
