Garbage/Recycling On Regular Day Over Holidays In Waukesha

WAUKESHA, WI—The City of Waukesha is reminding residents as Christmas Day and New Year's Day fall on Saturdays, there is no change to the regular garbage/recycling collection this year.

Collections will take place on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

The city asks to place your garbage/recycling container out on your regularly scheduled day.

The city is also providing holiday recycling tips:

Put in your recycle bin:

• Empty cardboard and paper boxes
• Catalogs
• Paper greeting cards (no electronic/musical cards)
• Cartons (including empty Eggnog cartons)
• Wrapping paper tube
• Normal recyclables

Don't put in your recycle bin:

• Wrapping paper
• Bows or ribbons
• Christmas lights
• Bubble wrap
• Styrofoam
• Plastic bags
